How to choose a Utah Valley wedding venue (free)
- Set the budget first. The venue is usually the biggest single wedding cost. In this corridor, published starting prices run from $225 (Draper Day Barn — verify, likely small/day use) to $9,000–$18,000 (Siempre, Draper). Most venues in the directory start between $1,200 and $3,000.
- Count heads honestly. Seated capacity and “flowing” capacity are different numbers — a venue that holds 300 flowing may only seat 150. Check the seated number on each venue page.
- Indoor, outdoor, or both? Utah weather turns fast in the mountains and the valley. If you want outdoor, ask what happens in rain or wind — and what it costs to move inside.
- Ask what the starting price actually includes. Tables, chairs, setup, cleanup, a day-of coordinator, and the rehearsal are sometimes included and sometimes extra. Get it in writing.
- Ask about the end time and noise rules. Several venues have published end times; many do not. Ask before you sign.
- Visit at the time of day your wedding will be. Light, parking, and noise all change between afternoon and evening.
- Confirm the price in writing, with the date. A “from” price on a website is not a quote. Prices change by weekday, season and package.
